07:44 pm - I'm BA-AACK!!!
Here's some of the stuff that happened during our tour:

~Woke up at 4:00 am on the day after Thanksgiving so we could leave at 6:30
~Stayed up until 3:30 am playing Celebrity and got sick because we had to get up at 6:00 to leave...I did a few shows where I sounded either like a man or a seductress (depending on the day)
~Went to the Dickens Village in Cambridge OH and saw an amazing light show!
~Zigzagged back and forth between NJ and PA for about 6 days
~Ate crappy baked ziti and lasagna for 5 days in a row (usually with lettuce and a roll)....but then we had AMAZING stuffed shells that made up for any other bad meal
~Went down south and stayed at a stinky hotel room in Mississippi
~ Finally got to experience warmth in Gulf Shores Alabama
~Walked two miles to a Manatee Center in Florida and two miles back after we didn't see one
~Wandered around downtown Nashville with the Coon family
~Saw the ocean in very cold Cape May NJ and watched Olivia, Noah, Kim and Lisa make sand angels!
~ROCK STAR PARTY in Mississippi!!
~Performed at Virginia Tech
~Played football in Lexington, VA
~Learned that I was pretty good at water polo
~Saw a dolphin in the wild
~Had numerous thumb wars with Olivia
~Witnessed Lisa walking into a glass window
~Did a show with no set
~Had a fire alarm go off during a show
~Buddy Check!
~Learned different ways to contort myself so I could sleep on the bus
~Stayed in a scary hotel in CT where the keys opened every room
~Hot Tubs!
~"Pass the Christmas Song"...come along!!
~Being asked to sign a poster at the stage door
~Ugly baby!
~Wig change halfway through a show
~Missing Target and hating Wal-Mart
~Olivia getting the hiccups during the finale (twice)!
"God (hic) bless us, everyone!"
Olivia: "I have the hiccups" OR "I have a splinter"
~Came home from Florida through Atlanta and worried about whether my luggage would be less than 50 lbs and if we would make our connecting flight

That's all...I think....
I miss it already.

Well, we've had two weeks of rehearsal and it's been going very well! Everyone is so nice and I love the music!! I can't believe that in less than two weeks we'll be leaving the Twin Cities for our first show! I'm still trying to figure out how to pack as little as possible. I can't believe it's been so long since I've been in a rehearsal and I've missed it so much!! I do know that life on the road is going to be an interesting adjustment; I've never lived out of a suitcase for that long before and it's been a long time since I've had to share a bedroom. Everyone in this cast is so talented, I'm so lucky to have this be my first professional job!
AAHH!!! So much has been going on, I don't even know how to put it into words!! Right now my main goals are to memorize my lines (I haven't had this many for quite some time!), make sure I have everything I'll need for traveling, get all of my Christmas bought and wrapped before I leave, and to not get sick!!! At least I was able to get a flu shot and now I just need to keep drinking tea and honey and to always have Zicam available!

Blech, the weather has been so gross lately!! This is the first night where I've been able to see the moon in a long time. OOOOHH, full moon! Perfect for watching Supernatural! ; )

We'll also be having previews for the show before we go on the road, if any of the two people who read this want to come see it! I'll be easy to find...I'm the one who's either always holding a baby or dropping things! Mrs. Fred (whose first name I discovered is Gwendolyn) is almost always holding a baby....and my arms are tired! : ) And good old Maizie Fezziwig is very clumsy and drops things and steps on people's feet!

Good times.

06:31 pm - Finally
I have worked my last shift at Bath and Body Works!! Well, I should say, until January. Oh if only I could be done with that place for good. But something I need to do is see if I can get a raise. Because if I can't I need to find a new "day job"....but hopefully they'll up my pay, because that store isn't really that bad. There are enough people who work there that I could skip a shift here and there if I needed to, but there's not so many people there that I get 0 hours like at Rosedale.

I'm gonna be a busy gal for the next two months!!! I cannot wait. Actually my business starts tomorrow: shopping for 'essential stuff' tomorrow, helping my Gramma clean her house monday, voting on tuesday and then wednesday is the first day of rehearsal!!! And I have a costume fitting on Thursday! I can't wait to try on my costumes! I'm wondering if I'm going to be corseted again...I'm thinking yes, but you never know. At least I won't be having seizures in them. We got our scene/character breakdown the other day and in addition to playing Mrs. Fred (I find it amusing that she doesn't have a first name) I will be playing the Innkeeper's wife and Maizie Fezziwig. Now I gotta say, that's probably the greatest name I've ever heard. How many people have names with Z's in both the first and last name? Quite a mouthful. :D

I'M SO GLAD TO BE DONE WITH WORK!!!!! I hated working yesterday. Spoiled all my fun Halloween plans; I was hoping that I wouldn't have to work at all, but of course, they needed me for (what else?) shipment! It was an extremely long 7 hour shift (it felt like it was about 14 hours), time just went so slow! The only good part about working yesterday was handing out the candy to the Trick or Treaters in the mall. But of course, we ran out of candy in about half an hour. But the kids were so cute!!! Top 2: little boy with a mohawk (a fake one of course) and the little one year old dressed as a lamb who, when she was put down by her mom looked sort of confused as what to do next. I could just imagine her thinking: ok, now this walking thing, I'm supposed to lift a leg and then put it down again? I dunno, seems kind of risky... SO CUTE!!! But I still wish I could've stayed home yesterday and watched scary movies all day long. Because I knew I would've had the house to myself since my dad's work was having a potluck. I wanted to watch: Rear Window, Carrie, Rosemary's Baby, Wait Until Dark and Misery and then top it off with Bravo's 100 Scary movie countdown. Now I know I wouldn't have made through all of those movies but I definitely would've made the effort! Oh, well....I did get to watch most of the countdown though...

I think that's it for now....I'm sure this'll get much more interesting when I start rehearsals. WEDNESDAY, BABY!!!!!!!!!

10:20 pm - It's been awhile
So I thought I'd post a little update....although no one really reads this anymore, which is kinda sad. Everyone's switched to writing Facebook notes.

Most of my time lately has been spent working at BBW. Very exciting, I know. I REALLY can't wait for rehearsals to start, the Christmas crazies are already starting to shop. Which is weird because I have to be one this year. Since I leave Thanksgiving and get back on the 23rd of December, my shopping (and wrapping) needs to be done before I go. I AM SO GLAD THAT I'LL BE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS!!!! I just got word today that we are going to be flying back to Minneapolis on the morning of the 23rd! So, yay for that. But it brings me to an interesting thought: in our little info packets, there were recommendations and such about what we should pack. The list said: two suitcases max. and one "carry-on type bag". And that's fine for a bus, but it's not for a plane. When we flew to CA, we were only allowed one checked bag and one carry on. This is going to be interesting. I always pack so much, so it's really going to be a lesson for me on how to pack light. It's just really difficult because we're traveling around the midwest and the south! Different climates, etc. So, my goal for packing is to get everything into one suitcase and to find a good-sized bag for my carry-on, because I really want to take my computer along. I'd hate to have to leave it home. I can only imagine what my email inbox would look like after a month of not checking emails!

My birthday was decent, didn't do too much; just went shopping with my mom (and got some free stuff, extra presents!) and then out to dinner with my parents. Not much hoopla. I started to realize that I didn't really want a huge deal made out of my birthday. I didn't need to have a party or anything (and plus I would've felt a little sad throwing one for myself), and it's difficult with my friends sort of spread out all over the place (some in Eagan, some in Minneapolis, some away at school). So I'm just hanging out with people individually, especially since everybody's got such crazy schedules!

I think that's it....I'm so happy that I don't work this weekend!!! I plan to sleep late tomorrow and just putz around the house getting little things done and then MOA with Cole on sunday!!!

And I laughed until I cried when I first watched this:

09:38 pm - Grumble
OK, so today is my cousin Mandy's wedding day. And it was beautiful and everything and I was having a really good time. But, after dinner I meet up with my parents and they inform me that we are leaving. Because my father spilt a glass of wine on himself and my mother...so they were damp and in a bad mood and so we had to leave. We hadn't even started dancing yet and they hadn't cut the cake or thrown the bouquet. I mean come on, it's 9:40!! And they practically made me sneak out and so I didn't get to say goodbye to any of my relatives who came in from out of town. GAHH!!!
Mostly I'm pissed at myself for not driving myself seperate from my parents, because then I could still be there. And I couldn't get a ride with anyone because anyone who lives remotly close to us is staying in a hotel tonight so they don't have to worry about drunk driving, and they can stay as late as they want, etc. Well, from now on, any family event I attend with my parents, I'm driving myself seperate.
I'm bummed. I was having fun.

08:57 pm - Whoa, Supernatural!!! (spoilers..sorta)
I am so glad I have thursdays off from work. That way I don't need to miss any Supernatural (which is probably the only TV show I care about seeing)!
I must say after seeing this premiere the promos sort of make sense...but I was so surprised at the end of the episode!!!!!
And Dean is even hotter than he usually is ; )
And is it just me or is Sam more buff than he was last season?

P.S. The title of next weeks episode had me laughing for about 5 minutes: "Are you there, God? It's me Dean Winchester".

LOVE THIS SHOW!!!

Wedding stuff starts tomorrow....first a rehearsal and dinner on a boat (why on a boat?) tomorrow and then wedding on saturday!!

My elbow us killing me. I rammed it into my door frame this morning. Less than 5 minutes after I woke up. And it still hurts. My parents were worried that I might've broken something (and so was I, frankly), but I think it's just a bad bruise since I hit it directly on my funny bone while my arm was bent. But wouldn't that be a great look at the wedding? My brand new dress and my elbow in a splint? Whee.
That's all.

08:14 pm - OK, so my mom had the funniest idea ever!
I went and rented some movies this afternoon and I told her one of the movies I got was "R&J" (an abbreviation for Romeo and Juliet) and she asked what that was and I said: "it's a theatre abbreviation for a play" and she responded: "Ralph...and Julie?", my response was "close". Then she got it but she said "Ralph & Julie is the trailer-park version of this story"! I swear to God I couldn't stop laughing for about 10 minutes!
"What bug shines near yonder porch light?"
And I think Romeo and Juliet were cousins.

Someone needs to write this. It would be hilarious!!

07:23 pm - Well, I am home....
And it's already weird to actually be living at home again. Right now, my main focus is getting a job (not like the bookstore thing that will only last a week). And it will not be in retail. But while I am still (technically) unemployed, I am determined to not be lazy. My goal is to try and do something every day, to always have a task. Another one of my goals is to get back into shape. I've noticed I put some weight back on since I hadn't been dancing twice a week. Thankfully, we have a treadmill!
I'm still amazed that I will not be going back to school (well, I will be at the school bookstore for awhile). And it's weird that I'll be living with my parents again and I won't be going back to a dorm or different house. I guess I get to endure "phase 2" of the remodeling, which means new carpet in my room and remodeling my bathroom...so there's a few days where I will not be at home. But seriously, I don't think I'll be here for too long (at least I hope). I want to be independent and pay my own way completely. Of course non of that will happen until I find a steady job (one that allows me to do theatre work as well). Our goal is to find me a place of my own by next spring/summer.
I also find it strange that I won't have roommates anymore (other than my parents). But I'm ready to live on my own...although I will miss the supernatural marathons that we had at the beginning of the year! ; )

01:58 pm - About damn time.....
Something has FINALLY happened for me on the job front!!! It's nothing major, but I got a response from the temp place! Unfortunately, this is a one time thing, since I don't have two years of clerical experience, I will not become an actual employee of the company. But I will get three days work and two days training for this temp thing and hopefully that will tide me over until something better comes along!

I'm moving out in three days. It is so weird that I have to go back and live with my parents. It's even weirder that I'm not going to be taking classes anymore.

SO MUCH PACKING AND CLEANING LEFT TO DO!!!!!

10:48 pm - Every second I waste is more than I can take
Randomness

Do you ever feel like breaking down?
Do you ever feel out of place?
Like somehow you just don't belong
And no one understands you?
Do you ever want to run away?
Do you lock yourself in your room
With the radio on turned up so loud
That no one hears you screaming?
No, you don't know what it's like when nothing turns out right
You don't know what it's like to be like me
To be hurt
To feel lost
To be left out in the dark
To be kicked when you're down
To feel like you've been pushed around
To be on the edge of breaking down
With no one there to save you
No, you don't know what it's like
Welcome to my life
Do you want to be somebody else?
Are you sick of feeling so left out?
Do you just wish you'd find something more
Before your life is over?
Are you stuck inside a world you hate?
Are you sick of everyone around?
With the big fake smiles and stupid lies
While deep inside you're bleeding
No, you don't know what it's like when nothing turns out right
You don't know what it's like to be like me
To be hurt
To feel lost
To be left out in the dark
To be kicked when you're down
To feel like you've been pushed around
To be on the edge of breaking down
With no one there to save you
No, you don't know what it's like
Welcome to my life
No one ever might say to your face
And no one ever stabbed you in the back
You might think I'm happy but I'm not gonna be okay
Everybody always gave you what you wanted
Never had to work it was always there
You don't know what it's like
What it's like
To be hurt
To feel lost
To be left out in the dark
To be kicked when you're down
To feel like you've been pushed around
To be on the edge of breaking down
With no one there to save you
No, you don't know what it's like
To be hurt
To feel lost
Could be left out in the dark
To be kicked when you're down
To feel like you've been pushed around
To be on the edge of breaking down
With no one there to save you
No, you don't know what it's like
Welcome to my life

I can't get this out of my head.....I really identify with parts of this song.....either from when I was young or now....

08:42 pm - I'm BA-AACK!!!
And what an adventure it was! Oh, California....
Wednesday started with me waking up at 3:45am after about 2 and a half hours of sleep (I haven't gone to bed before midnight in a while)....and heading west early in the morning and we then spent the day driving up the PCH and staring the ocean and whatnot....after we finally arrived at the hotel at about 4:30pm we had a little break before heading out to meet some people for Chinese food in Lompoc. After that, fortunately, we were able to go to the hotel and stay there for the rest of the night. And I got to watch the finale of SYTYCD (oh my GOD!!!).

Thursday was a day all about sightseeing and whatnot with the parents. First we drove around trying to decide where to go....then we drove out to Solvang which is a little dutch town....it was a cute little town but it was mostly a bunch of restaurants and shops. But we got to try a delicacy called Ableskewars (sp?) which are basically fried donut holes covered in raspberry jam and powdered sugar. Yummy!! Then back to the hotel to change and then we headed back to Slavang to see RAGTIME!!! One of my favorite shows ever!! So of course I went there with very high standards and it was pretty good! I loved the guy who played Tateh. The only problem was that it was outside and so we had to rent blankets becuase it got quite cold by the end of the night!

Friday: WEDDING DAY!!! Woke up early to get our hair done and then headed to the VFW hall to help with some decorating and then we got ready back at the hotel and then it was time for my cousin to get married! The ceremony was absolutely beautiful...it took quite a bit of strength to not cry. And after the ceremony was finished I discovered that it was the same for everyone! We made it out of the main room and Jess started crying and it made me cry and we were all just a mess....but after all that, we had a pretty good time at the reception! When I got back to the hotel, I had the unpleasant task of taking down my hair and I discovered that the stylist used 91 bobby pins to put up my hair! Ouch.

Saturday was an interesting day. We had to drive back to LA which wasn't the most pleasant thing in the world. Dad was getting a bit frustrated....which was making me and my mom frustrated....but we finally found the museum of Hollywood history...and it was OK...there was some cool stuff like costumes from Moulin Rouge and Gone with the Wind! But the coolest (and creepiest) thing was Hannibal Lector's cell from Silence of the Lambs...they had it down in the basement and the entire row of cells was in there....all creepy!!!!

And now we are back....left the hotel at 6am L.A. time and made it home at 4pm MN time! Time for bed...but I have an interview tomorrow...so no sleeping in tooo much tomorrow!

And it's really sad...I didn't buy myself anything while vacationing....meh.

03:30 pm - You know there's a problem when you start selling off your possesions
The fact that I haven't worked in over two weeks has started to affect my wallet (my last paycheck giving me only 85 bucks, enough to cover bills and half a tank of gas). A while ago, I saw that Barnes and Noble has a used books section and they buy used books. Thinking that I could make a little cash to tide me over until I find something else, I brought a few books there to sell and I receive either 5 dollars in cash or 8 dollars in credit in the store. So I chose the credit and I got myself a movie for 2 bucks.

But, there's a little bit of hope...i had an interview for a nanny agency and it sounds like I might've gotten the job. The lady there said that some of the families would call me. It would be a pretty good job for me, work 3-4 days a week (no nights or weekends) and I would still get benefits, both health and dental! And I think I'd be able to do theatre work while doing this job....I hope.
I also had a phone interview for Wells Fargo. That one did not go very well. Phone interviews suck, especially when you don't want the job.

Still no acting job. I didn't get into the Secret Garden. Damn. Still haven't heard about the Christmas Carol tour....Have another audition on monday, and I'm really excited about this one, it sounds really fun, kind of dark and a little creepy.

Two weeks until California!! I still don't know how to do my hair.

12:28 pm - I really do need to see it again
Wow. I'm just obsessing over things in my head with this movie. It's two and a half hours long so I'm sure I missed some things. Time for a slightly more in-depth review...but still no spoilers.

To start off: Heath Ledger. There's been a lot of buzz about him being nominated for a posthumous Oscar. I went into the theater with my mind impartial and ignoring all the hype because I wanted to make up my mind for myself. And after watching the film, I completely agree. He made the Joker into a true psychopath. Someone who wanted to "watch the world burn". He took the character in a completely different direction from Jack Nicholson's Joker and the result was so amazing. You cannot take your eyes off of him when he was on the screen.

This movie is definitely action-packed, and there were a few scenes where I actually held my breath because they were so filled with tension. Chris Nolan is probably the best choice as a director for this series, nothing against Tim Burton, but I like Nolan's style better. And go Chris Nolan for using as little CGI as possible, making some of the action sequences real! (cough, semi, cough)

Christian Bale, as always, was amazing. I LOVE that he uses a different voice as Batman. I mean, really, that makes sense and I don't know why previous Batmans haven't done it. Otherwise, don't you think it would be obvious as to who Batman was? Any character who's met Batman would only have to listen to Bruce Wayne speak and go: hmmmm, he sounds familiar. I do think that Christian Bale is the best Batman.

As for the rest of the cast: Gary Oldman (Lt. Gordon), understated and brilliant as always. Maggie Gyllenhaal (Rachel), a MUCH better choice that Katie Holmes. Aaron Eckhart (Harvey Dent) was great and (spoiler for anyone who doesn't know the Batman story at all) I loved that you can see the beginnings of Two-Face before he becomes Two-Face.

OK, I think that's it....MUST SEE MOVIE AGAIN!!!!

OK, I can't say much about this because I don't want to reveal spoilers, but I was TOTALLY impressed with The Dark Knight!
Everything we've been hearing about Heath Ledger is true. He was brilliant. Truly that character 100%. There was no trace of him anywhere. And it wasn't just because of the Joker makeup.
I need to see the movie again. I liked it that much; I left the theater saying "I need to see it again".
And Christian Bale is HOT! ; )

02:48 pm - I can't believe that the summer's half over
But at least I feel like I've gotten some things done this week. Even though I'm not working (grumble), I've done something every day, so I don't get insanely bored.
Monday I went to get our Dark Knight tix and I got a speeding ticket! I was dumb and really wasn't paying attention to my speed at all. Well, I've obviously learned my lesson and paying the stupid $140 fine. Damn. I also had an audition for a tour of The Christmas Carol...and I've got my fingers crossed, as always. Tuesday, I went downtown and got myself a new phone! Finally. And I finally found the one thing that Bath and Body Works is good for. I get a discount on my phone plan. Even if I quit them in 2 weeks, I get the discount for the entire 2-year plan. So, I got a $130 phone for $10. HAHA! Yesterday, I visited my gramma and today I'm just waiting to go to my voice lesson and then DARK KNIGHT TONIGHT!!! i'm so friggin' excited for that movie!

We let Apollo out today. It's so much fun watching him discover parts of the house he's never been in yet.

I can't wait for California! I need to figure out what I want to do once I get there....

And I nearly died of laughter when I watched this.

11:29 pm - We has a kitty!
Yep...Lauren has a cat now and his name is Apollo and he'll be staying with us for the rest of the summer! He's adorable....

Lately, I've been watching a lot of Inside the Actor's Studio. I've always been a fan of this show, but when I was younger I didn't pay as much attention as I should've. Now, there's all these little things I'm learning as I re-watch episodes on YouTube. Very helpful. But they need to release the entire series on DVD! It's been going for 14 years and is still going (I think)....but there are so many amazing actors that were featured on that show and I want to watch them!!

Went to a tap class at Zenon today. It was AMAZING!!! I miss tap. But the room was about 85 degrees and SO humid! I was just soaking when I left. A part of me was glad that they didn't need my call-in today, because I was so tired....but I need money!!! This is ridiculous. And the sad thing is, if I had stayed at the Burnsville store, I probably would've been working a good 20-30 hours a week. Damn.

Less than a month till California!! I just got my bridesmaid dress back from being altered and it actually looks cute! And I finally found shoes! Now all I need is to figure out how I want to do my hair.
